Too often, our neighborhoods suffer from litter, illegal dumping, and sporadic street cleaning because keeping streets clean hasn’t been treated as a priority. Bryan's vision is clear: everyone deserves to walk on trash-free sidewalks and live on a block free of dumped waste, and we are determined to make that a reality.
Install More Public Trash Bins & Improve Collection. Too many streets lack basic trash cans, causing many to toss litter on the ground. Bryan will fight to dramatically increase the number of public litter bins on every block, in parks, and near transit stops.
Address Pet Waste on Our Sidewalks. Pet waste left on sidewalks isn't just unsightly—it poses serious health risks. Bryan will fight to increase enforcement of existing laws that require pet owners to clean up after their animals by stepping up patrols in heavily trafficked areas. He'll also work to install additional pet waste bag dispensers and disposal stations throughout the community, making it easier for pet owners to act responsibly. Through clear signage, awareness campaigns, and community engagement, we’ll remind everyone that maintaining clean sidewalks is a collective responsibility.
Crack Down on Illegal Dumping with Enforcement & Alternatives. Illegal dumping hurts our community. Bryan will advocate for an aggressive anti-dumping initiative including increased inspections at known dumping hotspots, and issuing hefty fines to offenders to send a clear message of zero tolerance. At the same time, Bryan will make it easier for people to do the right thing because by removing any excuse for illegal dumping and holding violators accountable, we can keep our streets clean.
