Supporting our Veterans
Bryan’s commitment to veterans is deeply personal—many of his friends and family members have served in the armed forces, giving him firsthand insight into the challenges veterans face when they return home. He understands the sacrifices they’ve made and believes that our community owes them more than just gratitude. Veterans in District 14 deserve real support and access to the resources they need to thrive, and Bryan is determined to deliver practical solutions to these issues.
Expanding Access to Quality Healthcare for Veterans. Too many veterans face barriers to receiving the healthcare they need, from long wait times to lack of specialized services. Bryan will work to expand partnerships between the VA and local healthcare providers to ensure that veterans can access timely and high-quality medical care, including mental health services. He will also advocate for mobile health clinics in underserved areas, so no veteran has to travel far to receive the care they deserve.
Increasing Job Opportunities for Veterans. Veterans bring invaluable skills to the workforce, but too often, they face obstacles in securing employment. Bryan’s plan includes partnering with local businesses and veteran service organizations to create targeted job placement programs for veterans. He will advocate for tax incentives to encourage businesses to hire veterans, and he will support workforce training programs that help veterans transition their military skills to civilian careers in high-demand sectors like technology, construction, and renewable energy.
Providing Housing Assistance for Veterans. Far too many veterans struggle with housing insecurity. Bryan will work to increase funding for housing assistance programs specifically designed for veterans, including those facing homelessness. He will also advocate for more affordable housing units set aside for veterans and their families, ensuring they have a safe and stable place to call home. Bryan is committed to working with nonprofits and local agencies to provide wraparound services that include job training, healthcare, and counseling for veterans transitioning back into civilian life.
Strengthening Legal Support for Veterans. Veterans often face complex legal challenges, from navigating benefits claims to resolving housing and employment disputes. Bryan will work with local law schools and veteran advocacy organizations to increase the availability of free legal clinics that provide critical assistance to veterans in need. Drawing on his own legal education and experience, Bryan understands the intricacies of the system and will ensure veterans have access to the knowledgeable support they need to secure their rights and benefits. By leveraging these partnerships, veterans in District 14 will receive the guidance and protection they deserve.
